Carrying the latest lines by Marc Jacobs, Diane Von Furstenberg, Nicole Miller, and more, Constance is the region's premier source for all things trendy and chic. Four New Businesses are Coming to Biltmore Park
If you are feeling down about the winter weather, let Biltmore Park help you shake off the blues with four new businesses. Cuisines Laurier, The Natural Home, Constance Boutique, and The Wine Loft recently announced plans to join Town Square's growing repertoire of dynamic independent retailers and restaurants.
For those with an eye for design, Cuisines Laurier, a custom cabinetry manufacturer, will open their first United States showroom in early April. The kitchen and bath cabinet and countertop displays will give customers a great way to visualize new home projects and feel inspired to update their decor with the modern and sophisticated designs. Michael Dawson, a resident of Asheville, is the owner of the soon-to-open showroom.
Decorating enthusiasts will also love The Natural Home, which, after being a longtime fixture in downtown Asheville, will move to Town Square this March. Owned and operated by local residents Ted and Beth Hill, the store will continue to be a leader in offering the community the best natural and organic home products, and they will heighten their focus on bed and bath as well as broaden their offerings.
Also relocating from its original location in Biltmore Station is Constance Boutique, which will open in late January. A treasure trove for fashionistas seeking their favorite labels, Constance Boutique will offer clothing, shoes, and accessories from designers that include Diane von Furstenberg, Citizens of Humanity, and Marc by Marc Jacobs.
In addition to these retailers, The Wine Loft will soon add to Town Square's restaurant scene. The unique venue will be an ideal after work destination for the business crowd and a great option for night owls in search of an upscale after hours hangout. Intimate seating and chic decor will complement and impressive list of 65 wines by the glass and 200 by the bottle in addition to a full bar and classic small plate menu choices.
Be sure to stay tuned for news about these new tenants and their opening dates. In the meantime, stop by Biltmore Park Town Square to explore the many boutiques, national retailers, and casual and fine dining restaurants that are already here. See you soon!
Accomplish Your New Year's Resolutions at Biltmore Park
From getting in shape to eating well to simply spending more time with friends and family, New Year's resolutions can easily change from exciting goals into burdensome obligations. Since we've said farewell to 2009, many of us have been reflecting back on a year that was marked by both achievements and obstacles, and we are all looking forward to a fresh start. We've been working hard and juggling hectic schedules, so this New Year's, rather than add more to our plates with challenging resolutions, we should consider how we can make them rewarding and convenient for a great start to 2010.
At Biltmore Park Town Square, sidewalks connect national retailers to shops that are unique to Asheville, fine dining venues to casual restaurants, office tenants to residents, and a movie theater to a cooperative gallery. The multi-use center allows visitors to find everything they need in one convenient location, including plenty of opportunities to help them stay on track this year.
If your resolution is to get in shape, then start by joining the Reuter Family YMCA. The state-of-the-art gym boasts a climbing wall, an unparalleled aquatics center, and plenty of personal attention to help you reach your goals. You can support your new habits by choosing wisely when dining out, too. 131 Main Restaurant uses only the freshest ingredients, and P.F. Chang's and roux offer several healthy options. You may also consider just letting loose and having more fun in 2010 by visiting Asheville's only stadium seat movie theater or by catching the big game at Hickory Tavern.
Of course, if your resolutions are more professional than they are recreations, Town Square can help with that, too. As the premier location for Asheville office space, Biltmore Park offers plenty of options that can help your store or business succeed. And if all of this sounds great to you, you may even want to consider an apartment, condo, or townhome. Town Square's residential spaces place you in the heart of the center, allowing for a convenient walk to work, dinner, and more.
Whatever you resolution may be, we wish you the best of luck in 2010, and we hope to see you soon.
Good Planning Makes Good Neighbors: Sharing Warmth within Our Community

This past weekend Western North Carolina experienced its largest snowstorm in more than a decade. While many in WNC were without power, the residents and businesses of Biltmore Park were able to keep their doors open to friends and family. Thanks to many years of planning that resulted in multiple electric feeds and underground utilities, the community did not lose power throughout the winter storm. Many homes, condos and apartments—along with the Hilton hotel and the restaurants in Town Square--were able to become sanctuaries to those without electricity. Biltmore Farms heard of many families in Biltmore Park who hosted friends who did not have power.
Biltmore Park was able to sustain power throughout the weekend due to the planning and investment in infrastructure during the community’s creation. “Biltmore Park receives service from two different Progress Energy substations. These multiple substation feeds make it unlikely that the Park will lose power and assure a very robust and reliable system” stated Lee Thomason, Vice President of Construction of Biltmore Farms, LLC.
Town Square residents, like Carolyn Jones, enjoyed watching two teenagers from Miami build an igloo from her apartment balcony along Town Square Boulevard. Carolyn provided the accompanied image of a snow covered Town Square.
Visitors were able to dine at our various restaurants, complete their holiday shopping and enjoy a movie at the theater. Jack Cecil, President, Biltmore Farms, LLC believes, “that this is a perfect example of community building at work. We are very pleased that others could share in our community this past weekend.”
Personalize Your Holiday Party at Town Square
As the last full week of school and work before a few breaks for the holidays draws to a close, the stresses from studying, working, shopping, and making travel and party plans are starting to intermingle and are making it feel as though the holidays are a burden as heavy as a stocking full of coal. Your houses are probably unrecognizable under a whirlwind of gift wrap, tinsel, and cookie crumbs, and you are most likely spending more time in the kitchen worrying about recipes than you are enjoying the end results. While Biltmore Park Town Square can't erase all of the stressors, it can assist you by providing a few creative ideas for wisking away worry as you prepare for your holiday party.
Go Local. If you are worried about your home being holiday ready for your seasonal soiree, consider moving the venue to a restaurant in Town Square. Travinia Italian Kitchen, 131 Main, and roux have warm, elegant atmospheres and are well-equipped to assist you with your special event.
Get Organized. If you do decide to host everyone in your home, head to Dwellings or Barnes & Noble for some quick pre-party organization solutions. Barnes & Noble is fully stocked with sophisticated options for your home office, and Dwellings will help you update your decor and discreetly hide your frenzied gift wrapping efforts.
Keep it Simple. A creative and cost-saving idea for your party is to combine traditional centerpieces with items that you will enjoy year-round. Order flower arrangements from Blossoms, and accent the look with candles you already have. If you don't have any you want to show off, visit Sensibilities Spa or Dwellings.
Double Dip. But we don't mean into the cranberry sauce. Try doubling one party necessity for another. For example, throw a spa party for your friends, and let the theme double as entertainment and favors. Sensibilities Spa is happy to help you stock up on bathrobes, home fragrance, bath and beauty supplies, and even jewelry.
Find Another Way to Give. This year, serve your favorite holiday recipes in a cermaic bowl from Echo Gallery. The proceeds go to MANNA FoodBank along with 5% of all other purchases. You may also consider an alternative to BYOB on your holiday event invite. Try asking guests to bring their own donations, and collect money for an organization like the Animal Compassion Network, which Sparrow Spa supports.
No matter what your needs are, retailers at Biltmore Park Town Square will do their best to help you. So stop by and be inspired. Have fun, and have a happy holiday.
