Vote for Your Favorite Pooch!

The tails were wagging and the costumes were dazzling at the first ever Paws & Pumpkins at Biltmore Park Town Square. From retriever royalty to pirate pugs, our four-legged friends turned out in style for an afternoon celebrating all things furry and festive.

Our first Dog Costume Contest, presented by Woof Gang Bakery & Grooming, drew 64 entries – each one bringing its own dose of creative and charm. If you haven’t already, cast your vote for your favorite furry contestants and share the link with all your friends and family! The winning pup will receive a $200 gift package from Woof Gang. Voting closes on October 30 with a winner announced on Halloween.

A Day of Furry Festivities

The centerpiece of the day was the Dog Costume Contest Pups and their proud owners paraded through Town Square in outfits that ranged from funny to fabulous. Every costume brought smiles, laughter, and plenty of applause, proving once again that Ashevillians have the best dogs.

Not just the dogs were having fun though, Paws & Pumpkins families, friends, and neighbors came together for a festive afternoon filled with fall-themed activities, including:

Making a Difference

Adding more heart to the event were our friends at the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA) who joined us to promote local pet adoption. Together with our welcoming community, we celebrated the adoption of three rescue dogs – each finding a loving new home. We’re deeply grateful for everyone’s support and look forward to partnering with ASPCA again in the future.

A Look Ahead: South Asheville Turkey Trot

Among the many friendly faces at Paws & Pumpkins was the team from iDaph Events, spreading the word about the upcoming South Asheville Turkey Trot, a beloved Thanksgiving Day tradition. Whether you’re planning to run, walk, or trot along with the family, it’s a fun and festive way to start the holiday with your neighbors. Register before the November 2 early bird deadline for a free race T-shirt!
