Tree Lighting & Holiday Market:
Date: Friday, November 21
Time: Market from 4-8 PM, Tree Lighting at 6:30PM
Kicking off our holiday schedule is one of South Asheville’s favorite winter traditions, the Biltmore Park Tree Lighting! This year, we are thrilled to welcome our friends from Charles T. Koontz Intermediate School Band, who are sure to fill the air with festive cheer as we celebrate the coming season. Guests can enjoy the cozy holiday atmosphere, seasonal treats, and fun photo ops with family and friends while soaking in the magic of the season. Just as the tree lights up, you may even find yourself in the middle of a gentle snowfall that brings a joyful winter moment to life. Make sure to keep an eye out for the Grinch, you never know when he might sneak through to add a little mischief to the celebration!
November 21 also marks the first of our two amazing Holiday Markets. With vendors offering handmade jewelry, local ceramics, warm winter treats, and so much more, you are sure to get some showstopping gift ideas. Feeling chilly? Grab a cup of cocoa or eggnog to stay warm while you browse. Don’t forget to stop by the Country Fields booth to browse a top-of-the-line selection of locally grown live Christmas trees and wreaths.
Santa in the Square & Holiday Market:
Date: Saturday, December 6
Time: Visits with Santa from 3-6 PM, Market until 7 PM
Location: Town Square Green & Along Town Square Boulevard
Santa Claus is coming to town! Bring the family for a day filled with festivities. From meetings with Santa for the little ones to stilt walkers and another unbeatable Holiday Market, there’s something for everyone in Biltmore Park. We are also proud to welcome our friends from the Asheville Junior Theater, who will be livening up the square.
The fun doesn’t end with Christmas carols; there’s entertainment and activities on every corner with roaming stilt walkers, festive face painting, and another visit from our favorite holiday grump, the Grinch! Don’t forget to swing by the North Pole Express for Santa letter writing and our interactive photo booth to snap some unforgettable family photos. Little ones (and grown-ups too) can add a touch of sparkle with Mountain Fairy Hair for a magical holiday glow. With so much cheer going around, it’s the perfect way to make lasting holiday memories with friends and family.

Our December 6 market is packed with an incredible lineup of local artisans and farmers, ready to help you find treasures that’ll spark joy and holiday cheer. Even if you joined us at the last Holiday Market, this one features a fresh mix of brand-new vendors plus a few returning favorites you won’t want to miss. Among our fantastic new vendors is a very special guest, GR Woodworking, who handmakes sustainable wooden toys perfect for gifting. Come stroll, shop, and soak up the festive magic; Asheville’s very best is waiting for you. If you’re still searching for the perfect Christmas tree, don’t forget to stop by the Country Fields booth for another chance to snag the most beautiful trees and wreaths Western North Carolina has to offer.
Winter Lights Trolley w/ the NC Arboretum:

Offering a hassle-free way to experience the NC Arboretum, the Winter Lights Trolley grants you admission to the Arboretum’s Winter Lights display as well as round-trip transportation from Biltmore Park. No need to worry about lines, parking, or complicated planning; just hop on and ride! Make it a full night out by grabbing dinner at one of our amazing Biltmore Park restaurants, such as the newly opened Posana, who will be offering 10% off for trolley ticket holders.
