The Weekend Brings Exciting Events to Town Square

As we looks towards five o' clock and the start to another typical March weekend with rain showers and some welcome sun, Biltmore Park Town Square is preparing for a busy few days of exciting events. Whether spontaneously stopping by for dinner and a movie or gearing up for some marathon shopping at the Junior League of Asheville's Spring Market, you can find plenty of activities in Town Square to keep you entertained over the next few days.

Kick off your weekend right at 5 p.m. by heading over to Travinia Italian Kitchen for the 5:01 Mixer. Ken and Tammy from Mix 96.5 will be there, and you'll have a chance to win door prizes while you sample Biltmore Wines and snack on hors d'oeuvres. There will also be live music by Aaron LaFaloe and specials for $5.01. And apart from being a great opportunity to meet new people, part of the proceeds from the event will go to My Pink Link, which supports the early detection of breast cancer. The event will run until 7 p.m.

After Friday's occasion, you can begin your Saturday bright and early at the Spring into Action 5k, or you can wait to shop and explore Town Square later in the afternoon. Moda, a locally-owned boutique featuring women's apparel and accessories, will host a Spring Trunk Show from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. The event will feature products from four local artists and their brands including Alena Hennessey, Foxie Moxie, Kayce M. Young, and Essential Journeys. Asheville's fashionistas will love learning more about their offerings that range from vintage-inspired jewelry and tees to soaps, lotions, and makeup.

And if you haven't had your share of great food and wonderful shopping after these events, don't forget to stop into Biltmore Park Town Square's other retailers and restaurants. With stores ranging from Barnes & Noble and REI to a local shoe salon and children's boutique, you're sure to find something to fit your needs and style.
