Join Rotarians in Walkathon to Fight Dementia and Alzheimer’s at Reuter Family YMCA

Date and Time

May 5, 2023 - May 6, 2023

12:00 PM - 12:00 PM

About this Event
Join Rotary Club of Asheville South and Rotary Club of Asheville-Biltmore in uniting rotary and the community at Reuter Family YMCA for a 24-hour walkathon starting at noon on Friday, May 5.
Participants may sign up to walk for 15 minutes (or more) on the treadmills as a way to honor loved ones and raise money to assist in research and help sufferers live as fully as possible.

While there is no fee to register for the walkathon, all participants are encouraged to raise critical funds for CART and MemoryCare to provide care and support and advance research toward methods of prevention, treatment and, ultimately, a cure.  The walkathon will end at noon on Saturday, May 6.
Are you a night owl? Sign up for a 2:00 a.m. shift!

Participants will also get to enjoy the following perks from Biltmore Park Town Square during the walkathon:

How to Participate in 3 Easy Steps:
1. Click here to register for your walkathon time slot.
2. Start fundraising! Donate here, through a check payable to Asheville-Biltmore Rotary Club Foundation or through the QR code below. Encourage others to sign up, too! Spread the word on social media and share with friends and family. There will be special prizes for most funds raised by children 12 and under.

3. Come together for an inspiring community event that celebrates our commitment to ending the disease.

Do you own or know a business that would like the opportunity to be involved in finding a cure for Alzheimer’s disease? Reach out to the Treasurer to find out about corporate sponsorship and its benefits.
