Tree Lighting & Holiday Market
Friday, November 20 | 4 – 8 PM | Town Square Boulevard
3…2…1! We’re counting down the days to our magical tree lighting celebration and first holiday market of the season! Discover locally crafted gifts for everyone on your nice list at the market. Then, join us for a South Asheville holiday tradition at our tree lighting celebration. Who knows, there may even be snow!️
Holiday Market, 4 – 8 PM: Searching for a thoughtful holiday gift? Find presents and treats from over 40 local artisans and makers from across the Western North Carolina community. Enjoy merry moments and family-friendly activities throughout the evening. More details about vendors, live music, and entertainment coming soon!
Tree Lighting, 6:30 PM: Gather around the Christmas tree at Biltmore Park Town Square for one of Asheville’s favorite holiday traditions, the tree lighting ceremony. As the lights twinkle on, be sure to bundle up, because the evening air may get a little frosty!
Come early to shop the market, grab dinner or hot chocolate, hear your favorite seasonal tunes, and enjoy the cheerful atmosphere throughout Biltmore Park Town Square. It’s one of the can’t-miss holiday activities in Asheville for families and friends looking to celebrate the season together.
Santa in the Square and Holiday Market
Saturday, December 5 | 3 – 7 PM | Town Square Boulevard
The next stop in our winter wonderland of South Asheville holiday events is a visit from Santa and our second Holiday Market of the season!
Santa in the Square, 3 – 6 PM: Snap a photo with Santa and let him know what you’d like to see under the tree on Christmas morning. Our professional photographer will be there to capture the moment, and guests will receive a complimentary digital photo in their inbox the following week! Families are also welcome to take their own photos with Santa during their visit.
Holiday Market, 3 – 7 PM: Browse crafts, art, and treats from over 40 local vendors at our second holiday market! Support small businesses and find a gift for everyone on your list.

Winter Lights Trolley
Fridays & Saturdays, Nov 27 – Dec 26 | 5:30 – 8 PM | Biltmore Park Town Square
All aboard for a magical winter evening! Take a VIP trolley ride from Biltmore Park Town Square to Winter Lights at the North Carolina Arboretum. There, you’ll experience the Arboretum’s gardens aglow with over a million glimmering lights. See Arboretum holiday classics like the 50-foot animated Tree of Light and illuminated Quilt Garden, along with live music, hot cocoa, s’mores, and more festive favorites.
The Winter Lights Trolley departs from Biltmore Park Town Square on Friday and Saturday evenings throughout the holiday season, with pickups taking place every 30 minutes from 5:30–8:00 PM.

Tickets are $50 per person plus tax, and include round-trip trolley transportation, admission to Winter Lights, and an exclusive gift bag with complimentary cocoa vouchers and more.
