2023 Biltmore Park Town Square Recap!

2023 was an eventful year at Biltmore Park Town Square, spanning summer concerts, farmer’s markets, holiday events, and new shops and restaurants!

June saw the return of our beloved Farmer’s Market, featuring a variety of wonderful selections of goods from local vendors. Farmers, florists, artists, and makers of all kinds set up shop every Thursday throughout the season. A stroll down the esplanade was a feast for the senses, with smells of freshly baked bread, blooming flowers, and fragrant soaps and lotions wafting in the air. We thank all of our vendors who made those warm Summer days such a delight for shoppers!

In July, we started our Concerts in the Park series with the feel-good sounds of the Jackson Grimm Band. With feet tapping and arms swinging, we danced the night away. Continuing in August, we laid out picnic blankets and chairs to enjoy the laidback sound of Dub Kartel, an East Coast Reggae group. Finishing off the season with a flourish, we slipped into the smooth flow of Mac Arnold and Plate Full O’ Blues band. The Concerts in the Park series captured that Summer vibe, bringing us all together through the joy of music.

Throughout the fall, with the shades of autumn as our backdrop, our roster of amazing retailers and restaurants continued to grow. In September, Reeds Jewelers opened their doors, bringing dazzling jewelry and well-known client service to South Asheville. In October, Clean Juice reopened with healthy and delicious options. Later in the month, we welcomed Taco Boy, a taqueria, serving Southwestern-style food and drinks in a bright atmosphere. November arrived and Poppy Handcrafted Popcorn charmed shoppers with their holiday pop-up location. Finally, in December, Club Champion, a premiere one-of-a-kind gold club retailer, swung open its doors.

In November, a new Town Square holiday tradition was started, our inaugural Holiday Market.  Artisans and farmers set up shop inside our Holiday Market space and on the esplanade. With freshly cut Christmas trees, heavenly pies, and gifts for everyone, the Holiday Market was the perfect place for friends and family to begin their Holiday season. On December 2nd, we rang in the Holiday season with our annual Tree Lighting Spectacular, full of magical street performers, delicious goodies, and even Santa. Despite the rainy weather, hundreds came out to take photos with Santa, snack on treats, create crafts, and count down our big Tree Lighting.

Every year brings new opportunities, events, and fun surprises to Biltmore Park Town Square. We are so thankful for everyone who made this year so special. We cannot wait to kick off 2024!
