Holidays in the Park began with our annual Tree Lighting & Holiday Market on a brisk Friday evening on November 22nd, following Asheville’s first snowfall of the season. Neighbors, families, and friends gathered to mark the start of the holiday season.
Highlights of the night included…
Holiday Market Stroll: People strolled through the holiday market, hosted under a canopy of twinkling lights. The market featured an array of regional foods, handcrafted gifts, festive treats, and seasonal décor. From fresh-cut Christmas trees and wreaths to locally crafted treasures, there was something for everyone—perfect for gifting and adding holiday cheer to homes.
Hot Chocolate Delight: Complimentary hot chocolate was served by Jitter Buggy Coffee, warming hearts and hands as the evening unfolded.
Meeting the Grinch and Elves: Kids and adults shared smiles and laughter while snapping photos with the Grinch and his cheerful companions.
Face Painting Fun: Little ones lined up to have their faces painted, adding colorful holiday designs to their joyful expressions.
Tree Lighting Magic: The evening reached a crescendo when Biltmore Park’s inspiring Christmas tree lit up the night sky, casting a warm glow over the crowd.
Thank you to everyone who came out to make this year’s Tree Lighting & Holiday Market so incredibly magical.
