We’ve been painting Town Square pink this month! From the pink toy soldiers at the O.P. Tayor's toy store and the many pink storefronts in Biltmore Park, to raffles, discounts and specials all month long. Many of our stores are also donating a portion of their proceeds to Breast Cancer Awareness organizations.
On October 6th, we held the third annual ‘Pink in the Park’ 5k, with over 500 in attendance to help raise money for breast cancer research and to promote awareness of the disease. We raised over $15,000, which is double what we raised last year! Thanks so much to everyone who participated. We’re already planning out next year’s event!
If you haven’t stopped by lately, there’s still time this month to participate in Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Here are a couple ways you can donate:
Stop by Marthaler Jewelers to enter to win their beautiful, pink bracelet from John Hardy. For a $5 donation to Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Research, you can be entered to win this beautiful piece. The winner will be announced on Wednesday, October 31st.
You can stop by Blossoms of Biltmore Park to buy a pink orchid, not only to brighten your day or the day of someone you love, but half of the proceeds will be donated to Beauty Through Cancer.
Also, dine at Roux for the last two Tuesdays in October and 10% of your bill will be be donated to Beauty Through Cancer.
Hickory Tavern is donating 10% of their sales on Thursday, October 25th to Beauty Through Cancer and the Ladies Night Out Program, a program that provides mammograms for area women.
Thanks again to all who came out for Pink in the Park – we appreciate you and look forward to next year!
