Biltmore Park Town Square has been buzzing with life. Patio diners are soaking in the rays over lunch; strollers are enjoying shopping along the pedestrian friendly streets; and special events are welcoming new and old visitors. This month in particular, Biltmore Park Town Square seems to be humming with life as it hosts a variety of upcoming events. Check out some of the upcoming events in Town Square this month:
This weekend, Biltmore Park Town Square will host the Ramble Run on Saturday, May 12th, from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. The second annual Ramble Run at Biltmore Park will offer both 12k and 5k races organized by the Asheville Track Club and presented by Mission Health. Also, beginning next week on Friday, May 18th, the kickoff for Asheville’s Talent Search with Clear Channel Asheville will start at 6:00 p.m. in Cecil Park. This event will showcase ten finalists from Star 104.3 and 99.9 Kiss Country’s search for Asheville’s next big star! One winner will receive $2,500 in cash, plus a trip for two to Hollywood courtesy of Asheville Regional Airport. This event will take place every Friday at 6 p.m. through June 29th in Town Square. Also, next weekend the Western North Carolina chapter of Girls on the Run will hold their annual 5K at Biltmore Park Town Square. Founded in 1996, Girls on the Run is a non-profit organization, serving more than 150 cities across North America and works to educate and prepare girls for a lifetime of self-respect and healthy living. The program combines physical training for a 5k run/walk, life skills development and healthy living education. On Saturday, May 19th, from 10:00 a.m. to noon, the girls will have the opportunity to demonstrate how much they have learned when they complete their 5k in Biltmore Park Town Square.
