Cheveux Salon now open in Biltmore Park
When the doors open at the new Cheveux Salon in Biltmore Park Town Square this month, clients will step into a dream come true for stylist Jared Oldre and his wife, Maria. A simple sophisticated sign outside the door belies the fact that inside is a reflection of the passion of the Oldres and a testimony to the creative support of their family and friends.
Natives to Buncombe County, Jared and Maria were introduced by friends after both began careers in Asheville. Jared has enjoyed years of serving clients in upscale salons in both Raleigh and Asheville. As a master stylist, Jared’s focus is designing a flattering, up-to-date look that suits clients’ individuality. Maria, a Nurse Practitioner, will continue to balance her work and the joys of their young family, while handling administrative tasks of the salon.
After working through a small business class by Mountain Bizworks, both Jared and Maria felt the timing was right to pursue Cheveux Salon as a new venture. The class guided them to formulate a business plan and pull their dreams from a vision, to a formal plan ready for investors to consider. When it came to choosing a location, Jared and Marie felt Biltmore Park Town Square was ideal.
It was important to the Oldres’ that the design of the salon embody their deep connections to the area. Upon entry clients are greeted at a hand-crafted desk topped with thick slabs of deeply stained poplar wood which still hold the outline of the trees from the mountains. Intricate metal-work designs custom made by Jared’s dad, Craig Oldre can be found throughout the salon. The salon walls are adorned with dรฉcor from local artists reflective of a gallery atmosphere. Plush, luxurious armchair seats embrace clients enjoying salon services.

Hours are Monday –Thursday 9 am-8 pm, Friday through Saturday 9am-6pm. Walk-ins are welcome.
