Culinary Discoveries–New at Biltmore Park

Office lunch staples too often seem to be dominated by microwavable, frozen meals or last night's hurriedly eaten leftovers. Between hectic work schedules, family, and friends, it's easy to forget that food can be an art. Fortunately, Asheville and Hendersonville residents are surrounded by restaurants ready to provide refresher course in the art of slowing down and savoring each bite.

Soon to join the restaurant mix are Travinia Italian Kitchen and Cold Stone Creamery–Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory. The owner of Travinia was drawn to Town Square and Asheville because of the thriving culinary community, and most can probably agree that with their generous selection of pasta, steak, and seafood, the city will be just as drawn to them. Travinia also adds to the appecold stoneal of working and living at Biltmore Park. With a variety of sandwiches and wraps on their lunch menu, rushing through a saran-wrapped meal may be a thing of the past. Stay tuned for information about the opening.

Of course, what is a meal without dessert? Interpreting the meaning of culinary art on a new and literal level, Cold Stone Creamery–Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory calls each of its delightfully indulgent desserts "creations." And they encourage you to be the artist. Choose a creamery flavor such as sweet cream or cake batter, and then select from an extensive list of candy toppings–from heath bar to gummy bears. The ingredients are then combined on Cold Stone's signature frozen granite stone, ensuring that each bite is full of your favorite treats.

In addition to cakes, floats, smoothies, and ice cream, they will also have a delicious assortment of premium chocolates and confectionary products from Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory. So, if your sweet tooth just isn't satisfied by an ice cream cone, try candy by the box, homemade fudge and caramel, or choose from a range of candied apples. Set to open in early summer, customers will love their late-night hours and cold refreshments.
