Enjoy Local Shopping, Dining, and Entertainment in Town Square

This weekend, many residents and visitors will be venturing into downtown Asheville to enjoy local music, merchants, and the many restaurants. The music and local focus doesn't stop there though, and Biltmore Park Town Square is a great destination that allows visitors to enjoy all things Asheville in a quieter, less crowded environment.

Kick off your weekend on Saturday by shopping at locally-owned and operated boutiques like Moda and Echo Gallery or by indulging in a spa treatment at Sensibilities or Sparrow Spa. Restaurants that include roux and Cold Stone Creamery are also run by Asheville locals and are sure to have something to please every palate. Children will not only love the ice cream but will also enjoy another event, story time, which takes place every Saturday at 11 a.m. in Barnes & Noble. In the evening, The Scenic Roots, a local Asheville band, will take the stage for a free concert outside of Hickory Tavern Grill and Raw Bar while attendees dance into the evening in the company of friends and family.

On Sunday, consider stopping by REI, the nation's largest co-op. REI experts are happy to help you choose gear for your next Asheville adventure. Whether hiking the Appalachian Trail, kayaking on the French Broad River, or mountain biking in Bent Creek, the staff there will know which equipment you'll need.

So whether in need of a haven from the crowds downtown or just excited to explore the many different areas of Asheville, stop by Biltmore Park Town Square this weekend for a full few days of shopping, dining, and entertainment.
