August 5, 2021 – The 3rd Annual South Asheville Turkey Trot presented by Hunter Subaru returns to Biltmore Park Town Square in Asheville, NC on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, November 25th at 9am. Due to the pandemic in 2020, the event relocated for one year to Fletcher, North Carolina. Race Director, Daphne Kirkwood said, “We are so excited to return to Biltmore Park Town Square in South Asheville on the most popular running holiday in the United States. We can’t wait to welcome back our entire community and visitors to WNC for this annual Thanksgiving tradition. This will be like the largest family reunion ever with participants just like you!”

We are honored to support Sheep Dog Impact Assistance again at this year’s event. Sheep Dog will use the funds from the race for various program needs. Including purchasing and providing care packages for First Responders on Christmas Eve plus providing Christmas meals and gifts for Veteran and First Responder kids and families. In addition, funds will be allocated to send veterans and first responders that are struggling with PTSD to a dedicated program for additional support and resources.
