Community, Health, and Happiness: Wildflowers and Wellness Event Recap

Clear blue skies and lush green trees set a lovely spring scene for the first-ever Wildflowers and Wellness event.

Biltmore Park tenants, local vendors, and community members came out to spread positivity, harmony, and wellness, offering free classes, information, and smiles throughout the day.

Our neighborhood health-focused tenants and educators provided free services ranging from blood pressure checks from Galen College of Nursing to eyesight exams from Northlake Eye. Fitness experts at Yoga Six shared information on classes, exercises, and wellness opportunities. Sensibilities Spa’s table brimmed with skincare products (and even a heavenly giveaway basket) to luxuriate in self-care.

Local flower vendors came pouring in with seasonal arrangements perfect for Mother’s Day weekend. Posy on Wheels offered the opportunity to build your very own bouquet, right from the window of their cozy traveling flower stall. Black Dog Flowers, a Biltmore Park Farmers Market favorite, arrived with stems cut right from their very own garden. Tucked in the corner, AVL Photo Booth offered the sweetest backdrop to remember the sunshiny day.

For those looking to move their bodies or gear up for the summer camping season, our Biltmore Park tenants came out in style to share their knowledge with the community. Sue from Club Pilates kept the crowd moving with her hour-long free Pilates class. Setting up a campsite, REI graced us with expertise in backpacking, camping, and outdoor adventure. Meredith, a YMCA instructor, took us through a Tai Chi class, leaving everyone more relaxed. And finally, Rico from the YMCA brought the Park down with a fiery and fun Zumba session.

Born out of a vision to share in community and self-care, Wildflowers and Wellness kicks off a focused theme of wellness spanning across Biltmore Park. Couples arranged flowers, kids hopscotched and popped bubbles, dogs laid in the sun, families stretched on the grass or danced to the music, and everyone left a little happier and more peaceful than before.

We sincerely thank our vendors, tenants, and community members who came out to share their time and expertise with us. If you’re looking for more opportunities to get moving, below is a full calendar of Biltmore Park Town Square wellness activities and classes.
