It's that time again, spring is here and the return of City Market South is just around the corner. City Market South, the outdoor farmer's market is coordinated by Appalachian Sustainable Agriculture Project(ASAP) and in a new location for 2019 (market to be held in green space near REI and YMCA).
City Market South kicks off on Wednesday, April 3rd, 2019 and will run until the end of October. City Market South is held every Wednesday from Noon – 4 p.m. in Biltmore Park Town Square.
This outdoor farmer’s market features a wide variety off locally-grown, locally-made products including farm-fresh fruits and vegetables, grass fed beef, pastured pork, free range chicken, delicious pastries, gourmet artisan and farmstead cheeses, handmade pasta, pre-made French specialties, fruit butters, and preserves, as well as natural body care products, artisan art & crafts, nursery plants and mountain herbs.

Asheville City Market South is at the center of Biltmore Park Town Square in south Asheville. Take I-26 to exit 37 at Long Shoals Road and drive east to the Schenck Parkway entrance to Biltmore Park Town Square. (Schenck Parkway can also be reached from Hendersonville Road by driving west on Long Shoals Road.) Follow Schenck Parkway past REI, the green area is located near the traffic circle on the right. (Watch for market signs.)
