Regal Biltmore Grande Stadium 15 Opens with Success

December 15, 2010

November 15, 2008 marked the grand opening of the Regal Biltmore Grande Stadium 15 in Biltmore Park Town Square. The theatre greeted moviegoers with free popcorn and soft drinks with paid admission. The beginning of the week, however, also provided movie enthusiasts with exciting theatre activities. Benefiting three local charities, the theatre opened with preview events, showcasing screenings of new releases and classics, including Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, Dirty Dancing, and Sex and the City. To add to the excitement, the events featured $1 movie tickets, popcorn, and soft drinks. The proceeds from these three nights went to three local non-profits: Lend-A-Hand, the Asheville Film Festival, and the Eblen Foundation.

Apart from the essentials of popcorn and soda, attendees of the pre-grand opening celebration, held the night of November 13th, enjoyed hors d'oeuvres, live music, and a choice of two movies: Kung Fu Panda and Quantum of Solace. Attended by Mayor Terry Bellamy and well over one hundred people, the event was a wonderful success. Regal cinema presented three checks totaling $47,000 to the three aforementioned non-profit organizations.

The opening of the impressive new state-of-the-art theatre was the first of its kind in Asheville. Boasting fifteen screens, stadium seating, and digital projection, the Biltmore Grande Stadium offers the most luxurious and comfortable expereince available for movie lovers. The theatre is an exciting addition to the ever-growing Biltmore Park Town Square and promises to be just one of the great opportunities available in the new mixed-use community. Months after the grand opening, the theatre continues to thrive, drawing residents to both the movies and Town Square, where retailers, restaurants, offices, and residential space are intermingled to create a convenient and unique expereince. Whether looking for entertainment, a professional work space, or a new place to call home, Biltmore Park Town Square is designed to meet a variety of needs. From giving back to local charities, focusing on sustainable development, and hosting stimulating events, Biltmore Park is quickly becoming the next big thing for Asheville, North Carolina.
